Our rot wood is collected from a chemical and pesticide free property in Cowlitz county Washington and air dried before bagging up to ship out to our lovely customers. It is collected when fully saturated and contains minimal “hitchhikers” but we still suggest you chose a method of sterilization best suited to your application before use.
*You may sterilize your rot wood upon arrival if you are worried about unwanted hitchhikers. We suggest freezing your bag of leaf litter for 48-72 hours prior to use if you are concerned about introducing contaminants into your enclosures.
