Our rot wood is collected from a chemical and pesticide free property in Washington state. We then air dry it, bag and freeze for 3-5 days, fully thaw and freeze for at least 24 hours again to be sure we have neutralized any pests. 

*You may sterilize your rot wood upon arrival if you are worried about unwanted hitchhikers. We suggest freezing your bag of leaf litter for 48-72 hours prior to use if you are concerned about introducing contaminants into your enclosures.
