These are "tropical white” or Collembola sp. springtails, our starter culture comes in an 8-12oz container. We culture our tropical springtails in charcoal for easier distribution across multiple enclosures.
Springtails are essential members of any bioactive clean up crew. No enclosure should be without them! Springtails keep mold at bay and work in harmony with isopods, eating decaying plants, excess food sources and waste products. They are easy to care for as they do best at room temp (but can handle a wide range of temperatures) and they reproduce quickly for maximum benefits!
